SFaB consortium is excited to announce that the SFaB Kick-off meeting (KOM) took place in Chios, Greece, on the 10th and 11th of May, 2022. The KOM was hosted by the project coordinator, University of Aegean, that welcomed all partners at their premises on the beautiful island of Chios.

Representatives from all Consortium Members participated and presented both themselves and the main fields of activity of their organisations. Thus, the KOM was a great opportunity for all partners to get to know each other and break the ice.

The main objective of the meeting was to provide an overview of project activities and to design an operational plan for the deliverables scheduled for the following months. Partners discussed in detail the next steps, and each partner presented the outcome for which they were responsible.

Moreover, the Consortium members had the pleasure to attend a lecture by Prof. Panikkos Pountziouris, Honorary Fellow at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, in order to be thoroughly debriefed on the subject of family businesses and the challenges they face.

Overall, it was a fruitful meeting and a great chance to organise further steps, indicating the start of a promising cooperation, which we hope will remain effective in the future.
