The University of the Aegean, Greece opened the first series of Multiplier Events on 12 May 2022, at their premises on the beautiful island of Chios.Therefore, the purpose of the first multiplier event was to present the SFaB project to the local businesses and the local stakeholders of Chios.
Family Business owners, employees, students, and other stakeholders were invited to join this event. The objective of the host of the Multiplier event, the University of Aegean, was to introduce them to the project, its results and to analyse the main concepts of Family Business and their importance to the EU market.
Thus, during the event, a presentation made by the University of the Aegean , allowed the engagement of participants in discussions regarding family businesses and the aims of the project. More specifically, Professor Kinias (Assistant Professor of Business Policy, Department of Business Administration University of the Aegean and Coordinator of the SFaB project) presented the SFaB workplan, aims and outcomes, its structure and course design.
The design of the MOOC platform was also presented, with the key speakers highlighting the importance of this project, in helping target countries understand the nature and uniqueness of family business.
Last but not least, the success of the first multiplier event was sealed with a lecture on Family Business given by Dr Panikkos Poutziouris (Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Business Rector at UCLan Cyprus and member of the External Group of Advisors on SFaB).
Finally, the multiplier event was fruitful and a good omen for the development and success of the SFaB Project.
