The SFAB Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) responds to the target group’s needs and aims to provide owners, members, managers, and employees of Family Businesses with the knowledge, skills and competencies required to manage ownership, and growth and achieve succession planning and professionalisation within the company.The core of the educational programme consists of five modules, built upon carefully designed learning objectives and after extensive analysis from the partners of the existing peculiarities that a family business faces. The five modules focus on the following themes:
- FAMILY BUSINESS & SPECIAL CHARACTERISTIS
- SUCCESSION
- THE ROLE OF WOMAN IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS,
- CORPORATE GOVERNANCE & FAMILY GOVERNANCE MECHANISMS (FGM)
- And FAMILY BUSINESS STRATEGY.
The SFaB MOOC meets those challenges by providing scientific knowledge, methodological tools and applied best practices to train family and non-family members of the business and thus optimizes the performance of the business.
Last but not least, the MOOC is being offered for free, through the SFaB Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
